What I Learned About Thinking Big at the Young Global Leaders Gathering

What I learned from the recent EMERGE: Young Global Leaders Class of 2026 Gathering is the importance of daring to think big. Our world is full of diversity, with different races, languages, and cultures. But as the world changes, we all learn and adapt in order to move forward together. At the same time, when the world needs new ideas to drive progress and improve lives, understanding these differences is what helps expand the boundaries of our perspectives. Participating in this event for the first time as a Young Global Leader 2026, alongside YGL from various countries, greatly broadened my perspective and that of everyone involved. Hearing diverse stories and experiences from around the world became an important opportunity for me to reflect on the challenges our world still faces, what may still be missing, and what I can contribute, exchange, and build upon through the knowledge I have gained. This truly marks an important beginning in my journey as a YGL. Because being a leader does not necessarily mean leading in every aspect, but rather having the courage to think and act on what the world truly needs.
